Business Intelligence in Audit
The purpose of this seminar is getting the ability to shift several methods, techniques and best practices specific to the fields of Competitive Intelligence and Counter Competitiv Intelligence into the practice of bank audit. Additionally, it is intended to transfer the analysis of business information into the practice of bank audit. This method was successfully implemented in bank audit and compliance procedures. The Intellience brings value added to the rigor of information and to the relationship with the audited organization.
At the end of the seminar, participants will master a basic set of methods, techniques and best practices of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, which can be applied in bank auditing.
The seminar is recommended to banking staff from Internal Audit, Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Credit/ Market Risk Management etc.

Sergiu Medar is a former diplomat, with significant experience in intelligence: Counselor to the President – for the National Security Directorate, Chief of the National Intelligence Community, and also a member of the Supreme Council of National Defence; Chief of Military Intelligence and Executive Director of the General Directorate of Defence. He was sent on diplomatic missions to USA, Canada, Brasil and Argentina. As a professor at the National Intelligence Academy in Bucharest, Mr. Medar teaches Defence Diplomacy, Negotiation Theory, and Crisis Theory. Additionally, he is a professor at Babes Bolay in Cluj Napoca, where he teaches Defence Diplomacy and Business/Competitive Intelligence.
A former chief of military intelligence directorate, Adriean Pârlog has over 25 years of experience in the field. He is currently an associate professor at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, and Babeş-Bolyai Univesity in Cluj-Napoca; additionally, he is a member in the admission committee of the military intelligence postgraduate course, member in the examination committee of the National Defense College, advisor for the postgraduates theses. He has a degree in Cybernetics and Statistics – with specialty in Economic Cybernetics, and a postgraduate course in Modelling Economic and Social Phenomena at the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest. He holds a PhD degree from the Academy of Military Studies, where he took a postgraduate class of military intelligence. His areas of expertise include: intelligence and business intelligence, information theory, modelling and simulation of economic and social processes.
Ionuţ Corduneanu is a specialist in intelligence and security, and a consultant in business information. He holds a PhD from the National Intelligence Academy, is a VP of the Association of Business Intelligence Specialists (asia.org.ro), member of Strategic & Competitive Intelligence Professionals (scip.org), and associate editor in chief of Business/Competitive Intelligence magazine. In addition, he frequently teaches business intelligence classes, as an authorized trainer. He holds a degree in Social Communication – Intelligence (National Intelligence Academy), with over 13 years of experience in the field.
The course will be held for 16 hours.

Course registration is made by completing the registration form.
RBI will organize the course at its premises, providing specialized lecturers, course materials, and catering services.
At the end of the course, participants will be given a certificate, issued by RBI (under the aegis of the founding members: NBR and RBA), with 14 CPD credits.
